Then, the trip leader gathered me and six others. He explained our tasks
and how we'd gather research and help the community.
I went from house to house, helping with what I could until I came across a house with a large group of people.
As I worked towards the house I saw one old woman speaking to everyone, and laying her hands on people.
This old woman seemed very energetic for her assumed age.
And as I finally reached her I realized it was Mother Teresa! She seemed like anyone else in the town, humble and hardworking But as she turned to me I noticed her eyes. It felt like they pierced through my flesh and stared right into my soul.
And her aura was indescribable
She was fidgeting with something in her hands. She must've noticed me staring at her and she walked towards me.
As she approached me it felt like I was being covered in a warm blanket on a cold night.
Just before coming face to face with me she reached into her pockets, and grabbed something shiny, about the size of a quarter and gave it to one of the younger women standing beside her.
She looked at me and said, "I understand your pain. It might seem impossible. But I've felt it too. Let me bless you before I give you a gift…"
She was soft spoken and had a soothing voice as she muttered something over me. I felt immediately at peace…
back then I wasn’t much of a believer and it had been quite some time since I had spoken with God… But as she continued to speak over me I was transported to a peaceful beach.
The sun was shining and all my worries evaporated like water on a hot stone, and I felt the weight of the world lift off my shoulders.
As I opened my eyes Mother Theresa didn’t say anything. But she gestured to me to follow her as she walked from house to house, handing out more small shiny objects.
I wanted to ask her about the shiny objects,

After a few more houses she turned to me and as she clasped her hands together "what do you feel worried for now in this moment?" and I poured my heart out to her. I told her about my marriage, my parents, my feelings of brokenness and disconnect from God and myself.
She listened and after a moment of silence she spoke "You’ve sacrificed much in life, and as Jesus said, many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first"
At that very moment, she unclasped her hands, and gave me about 10 of the shiny quarters she was handing out, but once I got them I realized they were not quarters at all, they were pins.
